  Chutneys, Relishes and Pickles
In a picnic basket, with cheese or meat or in a sandwich - there aren’t many things that don’t benefit from some chutney, jelly or relish. Great as a gift at Christmas or as part of a hamper. When possible we sell Membrillo too, the wonderful Spanish quince paste, which is delicious with cheese, especially Manchego.

    Oils and Vinegars
Olive oil is at the heart of most Mediterranean cooking so it’s essential to get a good one. Brindisa Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Castel di Lego Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Valdespino Vinegar de Jerez, Balsamic Vinegar de Modena, Unio Vinegars: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Moscatel.

Wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee

Our small range of regional wine is carefully selected by Luigi Fioretti, of Bermann Wine Cellars. Luigi hosts a wine tasting at the shop each year around Christmas. It’s always a great evening so find out this year’s date from Dave and come along.
La Guita Manzanilla Sherry, Angelo Cataratto Chardonnay, Domaine Hamelin Chablis Ligneau 1er Cru, Firmian Pinot Grigio, Angelo Nero D’Avola Sangiovese and many more.
  Beer and cider
There are lots of small, independent brewers in Kent not to mention Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame. We have selected some of our favourites.
Whitstable Bay Organic Ale, Gadds No.3 Pale Ale, The Kentish Cider Company’s cider
    Soft drinks
Fizzy orange in a bottle with a straw transports many minds back to childhood and days spent on the beach in the sun. We stock a range of soft drinks to suit the taste of children and adults alike.
San Pellegrino Sparkling Water, Aquapanna Still Water, Blood Orange Juice with San Pellegrino, Biddenden Apple Juice, Biddenden Pear Juice.
Morning, noon and night our coffee machine whirrs and hums, working hard to satisfy the demand for cappuccinos, lattes and espressos. Harbour Street’s shop traders need at least one cup to get them through the day.
We use Café du Monde’s Arabica beans, which are roasted on a fluid bed roaster using convection heat, preventing them from getting dried out or burnt.

    Sweet Things
Authentic speciality sweets, cakes and chocolate from around Europe. A Panettone’s not just for Christmas.
Bauli Panettone, Cantucci Biscotti, Ameretti, Blanxart Organic Milk Chocolate, Torta Imperial Almany.
fruits   Fruit and Vegetables
A small section of The Shop is reserved for seasonal fruit and vegetables. There’s nothing quite like a Sicilian lemon or a vine tomato for adding some sunshine to a dish. Local farms grow some great produce too. We use Mallards Farm in Waterham, Hernehill and get our eggs from Monkshill Farm, part of The Royal School for Deaf Children Margate.
    The Deli Kitchen /Antipasti
Olives, Anchovies, Pickled Garlic, Guindillas, Piquillo Peppers – all available in whatever quantity you need.
Doors open early for locals who come for the croissants and sausage rolls and wash them down with a great cup of coffee.
The soups, salads, tortillas and quiches Dave makes in The Deli Kitchen, are ever popular. The take away dishes are perfect for picnics and trips to the beach or even just a quick and healthy lunch, sitting at the tables outside. Dave’s soups are hearty and warming on a winter’s day and perfect with a slice of homemade foccacia. Cake stands covered with mini lemon tarts, carrot cake and caramel and chocolate slices are hard to ignore.
Dishes vary according to the seasons. Have a look in the window to see what’s available.
